The Profit of Goldman Sachs

As many other financial institutions struggle in a poor economy Goldman Sachs prospers. The company has already paid back the Federal funds that were borrowed and now stands to post a remarkable profit.

There will be some who will wonder hoe Goldman Sachs is able to post such a large profit while many other firms are barely surviving. These same people forget that the company did not stay away from the markets during this tough economic time. Instead they took the Federal funds to bolster their economic situation and continued to do business.

more.. There are many other companies that took Federal bailout money and have yet to continue doing business as normal. Instead the other companies have paid bonuses, while Goldman Sachs has continued to take risk.

The risks that were taken had been seen as foolish during the past few months as many banks and long established business closed down or entered bankruptcy. We all know too well the examples of Chrysler and GM.

We should use the example of Goldman Sachs as why fortune favors the bold.
