The Microsoft App Store

Microsoft has announced plans for it's own version of an App store. The plan consists of a similar developer system and certification process. Microsoft will charge $99 per year for developers and an additional $99 per application submitted to the Windows Marketplace.

The Windows Marketplace will will open later in 2009.
