If you have gone shopping over the past week you know how empty the store shelves can be. The canned good isle, the hand sanitizer gel section and toilet paper are non-existent and consumers rushed out and bought anything they could find. Why did people do this? Did they forget to buy or rush out to prepare for what could be the coming quarantine in their homes within American cities?
If you tried to go to a Costco, you were greeted by long lines and people who were reminded by signs to maintain a social distance of 6 feet between shoppers. I tried to go to Costco and this is my story. The shoppers inside of Costco were few and those that were they did not honor the six foot social distance rule. They continued to group into groups, with people sometimes only a foot from you grabbing items.
This appears to be the norm for many people even though they know what the correct thing to do is. If that is an indicator of the countries resolve, we might as well accept that the number of cases will be bad, very bad.
