Microsoft Surface Go

Microsoft has released the Surface Go, a smaller version of their Surface branded tablets which begins retail at $399. This version of the device features a 10 inch screen, 4gb of RAM, 64gb of solid storage and a built in Surface hinge that is found in it's larger products. The entry model begins at $399 with 4gb of RAM and 64gb of storage. The model that most people will buy will be the $549 version that features 8gb and 128gb of storage. All of the devices feature an additional Type Cover that can be purchased for $129.99
All of the Surface Go versions come with a MicroSD card slot allowing extra storage space making the device more useful. If you want to run Windows on the device you will find that Surface Go starts in S mode, limiting apps Edge based unless you manually set it to allow installation of apps outside of the Microsoft Store.
If the Surface Go for you? That depends. The device is light, features a good build quality, but limited by power, memory and storage. If you are a power user this device will not be for you. If you need a portal device that will allow you to run Windows apps then the Surface Go is your you and will serve you well. The best answer that I give to people whether they should buy this is the Microsoft Air compared to a Macbook Pro. The two devices will run full Mac OSX apps, but not all apps will run as quickly and efficiently as a user may need them to.
