Apple moving from Intel Chips
4/3/2018 7:45:00 AM
Apple has announced that they will begin phasing out the use of Intel microprocessors from their computers. This comes as Apple's use of Intel chips contributed up to 5 percent of Intel's revenue. This move was not unforeseen since Apple has been manufacturing their own chips to place in iPhones, iPads and other devices for a number of years.
The move comes as Intel chips have been slow to keep up with the trend toward faster, more power saving seen in Apple's own chip designs. This stagnation in Intel's innovation has not lead to any great enhancements that they saw early in the beginning of the 2000 decade.
