Microsoft to cut 3,000-4,000 jobs
7/7/2017 11:41:00 PM
Yesterday Microsoft announced that they were planning layoffs that would cut 3,000-4,000 employees. The majority of the cuts will come from locations abroad and center on sales and marketing jobs. The company has over 120,000 employees globally.
Microsoft has made a push to enter into the could based computing, where software as a service earns substantial amounts of revenue for Google, IBM and Oracle. The move will allow Microsoft to shift focus into the lucrative market.
