Bacon, bacon, bacon and some sausage
1/29/2009 9:57:00 AM
When I saw the photo above on the NY Times website I immediately fell in love. A primal instinct in me began thinking how hard can it be to get a smoker. I almost immediately began to wonder what would it be like to drop this into a backyard turkey frier?
I looked over at the specifics of this creation and noted that it contained 5000 calories and 500 grams of fat. Clearly it could serve as the recommended daily allowance for calories of well over two days. But who would want to leave something like this to sit for over two days when the bacon and sausage look so appealing?
I do want to say that I'm not that big a fan of meat as I get older, but this certainly brought back those days of eating meat at every meal when I was younger. The link to the full article is: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/28/dining/28bacon.html?ref=technology
