An iPhone Programmer Library

12/16/2009 11:25:00 AM

I really enjoy programming for the Mac platform and specifically the iPhone. Since I've been doing a lot of programming for the iPhone over the past year, I've begun the groundwork to release a suite of compiled libraries.

The suite of functions will focus on a variety of items, but the first will be to track the utilization of an application and produce useful metrics that a company might need. Although there are companies that exist, I would have to say that not all people like to have confidential data sitting on a third party system.

This library will be the first to answer that need by providing the developer with a fully customizable suite of applications that he can use to track the usage of his or her application; the region where the application is used, and a host of other features.

There are of course privacy concerns, but the library will allow full opt-in and opt-out by the user. It will be up to the developer to decide if the program should continue operation if a person opts-out of the tracking.

The other libraries that will follow include general housekeeping and social media specific. I'll post more information as the libraries near beta.
